Rooted - 2026 Summer Cohort

Rooted is a 10-week discipleship experience designed to help you grow deeper in your relationship with God, build meaningful connections with others, and discover how your life fits into God’s greater purpose.

Through weekly gatherings, guided devotionals, honest conversations, and three shared experiences (prayer, serving, and celebration), Rooted creates space for you to slow down, ask deeper questions, and build spiritual rhythms that last.

Whether you’re new to faith or have been following Jesus for years, this experience will stretch and strengthen your walk with God in a meaningful way.

What to expect?
Rooted is a 10-week commitment that includes weekly in-person group gatherings, five personal devotional readings each week, and three key shared experiences: a prayer experience, a service opportunity, and a celebration at the end of the journey. Each week also includes honest conversations that help you grow in faith and community. Because of the depth and intention behind Rooted, we ask that anyone who signs up commits to the full experience. The more you invest, the more you’ll gain!

Who should sign up?
Rooted is for anyone looking to take a next step in their faith journey. Whether you’re new to The District Church, have recently decided to make this your home church, or are simply seeking to grow in your relationship with God, Rooted is designed to help you build a stronger foundation. It’s especially meaningful for those who are ready to explore how their personal story fits into God’s bigger story and are looking for a deeper sense of connection with both God and community.
 
Please register for Rooted Cohort Summer 2026. 

The kick-off will be held on Sunday, April 26, at Columbia Heights Educational Campus (CHEC).  After this first week, cohorts will meet individually at their various times and locations. Every effort will be made to place you in a cohort in the neighborhood where you live and on the day of the week you indicated with final group assignments confirmed at the kick off event.

• Sunday, 04/26 - Rooted Kick-Off
• Saturday, 05/16 - Prayer Experience 
• Saturday, 06/13 - Serve Experience 
• Saturday, 07/11 - Celebration Day 

Rooted includes a $50 fee. This cost helps to subsidize expenses for the Rooted workbook as well as food provided at the kickoff, prayer, and celebration experiences; it is a fraction of the total cost for each participant. We do not want this cost to prohibit anyone from participating in Rooted; if you need a scholarship please reach out to Jay at jay@districtchurch.org and we will send you a code to use. 

Please note: the registration currently says "waitlist" as we finalize people to lead. Participants will be admitted into groups based on when they registered for the waitlist, and we will keep you updated as soon as your placement is confirmed.
